In cooperation with Fermi Energy, the possibility of locating the reactor in Estonia is being explored, and Ball says it would be so safe that he would put one in his backyard, writes Postimees.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-body__item article-body__item--htmlElement\">\n<p><strong>For many Estonians, it is the Chornobyl disaster that is associated with the nuclear power plant. How can we convince people that it is completely safe?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-body__item article-body__item--htmlElement\">\n<p>Based on my knowledge of the Chernobyl accident and the US BWR technologies, I can say that such an accident simply cannot happen with a BWRX-300 reactor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-body__item article-body__item--htmlElement\">\n<p><strong>How competitive is nuclear energy compared to fossil fuel-based electricity generation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-body__item article-body__item--htmlElement\">\n<p>Nuclear is a clean energy source and we believe that, together with wind and solar, it will play an important role in achieving Europe's and the world's carbon reduction targets.
