The Kunda Cement Museum is now home to a nuclear energy exhibit called. \"It explains the nature of nuclear energy, the operation of the BWRX-300 small modular reactor, nuclear fuel and waste management.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony on Friday 31 March was attended by around 40 people, including the Mayor of Viru-Nigula Einar Vallbaum and the Deputy Mayor of L\u00fcganuse Helve Pettai. The Nuclear Energy Demonstration Room provides a first introduction to the nature and principles of nuclear energy. You can see the reactor cut-out, various exhibits (including the drill cores from the geological survey on the Letipea peninsula) and get an idea of the detailed process of building a nuclear power plant.<\/p>\n

In front of the Cement Museum, a steel module produced in Estonia, which will be used to build the BWRX-300 partially underground reactor vessel, will be on display, significantly speeding up construction time compared to conventional reinforced concrete.<\/p>\n
