Fermi Energia invites all those interested in nuclear energy to the 6th New Generation Nuclear Energy Conference, themed. "Planning for construction". The conference will take place on 5 February 2025 in Tallinn at the T1 Venue conference centre.
This year, the conference will focus on practical experience in pre-construction planning for new nuclear power plants. Speakers include international experts and leading figures in the field - the former head of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Authority and President of the Nuclear Safety Commission of Canada Rumina Velshi, National Nuclear Energy Coordinator of the Kingdom of Sweden Carl Berglöf, GE Hitachi Poland Manager Dagmara Peret, Director General of the Estonian Land and Spatial Administration Kati Tamtik and many others.
On 14 January, we submitted a formal application to launch a site investigation for two 300 MW small reactor nuclear power plants. The conference will provide an opportunity to see and hear what the country-specific planning process for a nuclear power plant site looks like, and to hear about the experiences of other countries on the same journey.
Tickets are available at fermi.ee/conference, where you can also find the conference programme.
