The Estonian Academy of Sciences in cooperation with Fermi Energy announces the Anto Raukas Scholarship Competition.

  • The scholarship is aimed at first-year undergraduate or postgraduate students in energy or physics who have completed secondary education at an educational institution in West or Ida-Viru County.
  • A single 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟎-𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 scholarship will be awarded to up to two students.
  • Applications are open from today 𝟏𝟎. 𝐦ä𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐢 in the Academy of Sciences' competitions' e-competition environment. https://ta-konkursid.ee/
Anto Raukas was one of the main founders of the NGO Eesti Tuumajaam (Estonian Nuclear Power Plant) and a firm believer that Estonia will build its own nuclear power plant. He tirelessly explained to Estonian society the need for diversification of electricity production, the importance of a nuclear power plant, environmental benefits and safety measures.
