Fermi Energia raises €2.3 million to finance nuclear plant planning activities

Fermi Energia AS increased its share capital by EUR 7%, raising EUR 2.3 million to finance the planning activities of the plant.

The new shareholders were NG Investeeringud OÜ, Andrei Dubonossov, OG Elektra AS, AS GO Grupp, AS Filter, PeaksJah OÜ and Endel Palla, all of whom were registered with the share capital increase in the Business Register. The 8 existing shareholders also received additional shares against convertible bonds.

"The capital involved will ensure a good level of certainty going into the planning stage, but we will continue to work with foreign investors from Canada, the US, Japan, Denmark and Germany. For larger investors, both the recently government-initiated national special plan for the nuclear power plant and Fermi Energia's AS 40% stake in a company to build small reactors in the Netherlands, as well as further scaling of small reactor development experience in Europe, are important," said Kalev Kallemets, Chairman of the Board of Fermi Energia.

Following the share capital increase, 62% shares are held by 7 founders, 20% by Estonian investors, 9% by Funderbeam investors and the same number by foreign investors, the largest of which is Vattenfall AB. On the proposal of Vattenfall AB, the shareholders decided to recall Björn Lennart Linde from the Board and to elect Daniel Nordgren as a new member of the Board.
