"Nuclear energy is a knowledge-intensive field that requires in-depth knowledge of both engineering and safety regulations. It is important for us that young people in Estonia get an education in the best European universities. This is why Fermi Energia supports every year Estonian young people who wish to study internationally in this field. Today's scholarship recipients are the professionals of the future, who will help to secure Estonia's energy security and pave the way to carbon neutrality," said Henri Ormus, Member of the Board of Fermi Energia.

Nine Estonian students have already had the opportunity to study abroad through the Fermi Energy scholarship programme. Some of them have gone on to work in international nuclear companies or to pursue doctoral studies. Others are preparing to return to Estonia to contribute to a future nuclear project.

The scholarship (€1000 per month) is awarded for two academic years. After graduation, scholarship holders will have to work at Fermi Energy for three years. More information:fermi.ee/stipendium
