Fermi Energia is awarding two scholarships to support Estonian students studying abroad in the field of nuclear energy. The scholarships will support study abroad for two academic years at postgraduate level.
"We consider the development of nuclear energy competence in Estonia very important. Fifteen years ago, I myself went to Sweden to study nuclear energy with the support of Eesti Energia, and now it is Fermi Energia's turn to take responsibility for supporting the training of the new generation of nuclear engineers. I wish all the current and future scholarship holders success in their studies and encouragement in bringing Estonian energy into the 21st century," said Fermi Energia co-founder and board member, nuclear engineer Henri Ormus.
The scholarship will be awarded for two academic years (2×10 months), €1000 per month. The recipient of the scholarship must be employed at Fermi Energy for 3 years after the end of the studies.
Fermi Energia is an energy company aiming to develop the possibility of a new generation of small modular reactors in Estonia.
The company's engineers recommends the following nuclear masters programmes: KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), LUT Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland), ETH-EPFL joint programme (Switzerland).

Last year's recipients: Rainer Kelk is studying for a Master's degree in Switzerland, Mihkel Aavik is studying in France, Elise Poom and Ayrton Hüüs are studying in Sweden.
